Welcome to SPS!

St. Peter’s is experiencing a renaissance! The world of education has changed since COVID, and we have changed right along with it. We have continued to grow and evolve beyond our classroom walls and playground into the local community and the rich diversity and culture of historic Philadelphia. SPS has adapted to the needs of our families while maintaining the values we have always held close: Character, Curiosity, Creativity, Confidence, and Community.

We spend our time intentionally developing necessary skills for children to thrive in and out of the classroom, not just thinking about their future and where they may go… but remembering the value of the journey itself and the importance of learning as they go. We talk about integrity, we say please and thank you, we hold the doors for one another; we also build (real) boats, teach Leadership, and have recess every day.

Our alums regularly say things like, “best education I ever had,” or “I learned all the important stuff at St. Peter’s,” or I am who I am today because I went to SPS!” We value educating each child and helping them not only honor the richness of childhood but experience the joy of being a child.
