Exotic Animals Visit the Early Childhood Division

On Monday, April 20, the children in Preschool, Prekindergarten, and Kindergarten enjoyed a “Safari Party” assembly presented by Lynne Grim. Ms. Grim brought to school a variety of animals such as a fox, a hedgehog, a chinchilla, an alligator, and a 20-pound Flemish rabbit. In addition to learning about respecting animals and nature in a hands-on, thoroughly enjoyable demonstration, the children also learned about sharing, tolerance and acceptance of differences, gentle touch, finding similarities, and myths about animals!
