St. Peter’s School French Trip 2010
April 14th, 2010
Students from Grades 7 and 8 traveled to Paris, France this month for an adventure-filled spring break to see the sights and immerse themselves in the French language and culture. Before the trip, Ms. Reistle held special French lunch sessions to help the students navigate real life situations they would encounter while overseas. Under the superb leadership of Mr. Van Nesse and Ms. Mazza, the group toured many of the hot spots in the City of Lights and even had time to see some places off the beaten track. They stayed in a small hotel in the center of the Paris and accessed the city by Metro, bus, foot and boat. Highlights of the six day trip included Notre Dame Cathedral, Ste Chapelle Church, L’ Orangerie, Tuileries Garden, Musee d’Orsay, Bateau Mouche ride on the River Seine, Musée de Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Catacombs, Pont Neuf, Versailles palace and gardens, Sacré-Coeur Basilica, and the Montmartre area. They greatly enjoyed the food and entertainment in the city as well.
Special thanks to Sally Sells, our travel agent (and former St. Peter’s parent) and kudos to the current St. Peter’s School parents for helping us put together a great trip. For additional photographs of the trip, please contact Mr. Van Nesse or Mr. Weymouth.
