October 21st, 2009

The Seventh and Eighth Grades made the biennial trip to the Delaware Water Gap to work with the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC). In an effort to meet our students’ needs for team building, leadership skills, outdoor living skills, and on-site ecology studies, we returned to the mountains as part of our two year course, alternating between visiting the Chesapeake Bay and the Poconos. We participated in the following activities during our three day stay.

Science Activities:

  • Watershed Ecology
  • Water Quality Testing
  • Pond Study
  • Astronomy
  • Wildlife Study
  • Forest Ecology

  • Team Building and Problem Solving
  • Canoeing
  • Confidence Course
