Volunteering

St. Peter’s School is unique for its tradition of broad-based, enthusiastic, innovative volunteerism.  The opportunities are so varied there is a chance for every parent to become involved.  Come with an open heart and new ideas and you will be rewarded ten-fold.

Do you like to bake brownies?  Special events throughout the year need platters of snacks.  Do you like to operate a chainsaw?  Help sell trees at the Holiday Sale in early December.  Are you a detail oriented, multi-tasking, delegating problem-solver?  Events need chairpersons.  Enjoy vintage clothing?  Help with the used uniform sale.  Love the great outdoors?  Spend a day of service along the Wissahickon planting flowering bulbs.

Read to your child’s class!  Dress up as an elf and help host our Holiday Breakfast!  Share gardening tips at the Plant Sale!  Ask your favorite restaurant for a gift certificate to support the Auction!  Chaperone class trips to places you haven’t visited since you were in Third grade!  Run a comb through a kid’s hair on Picture Day!

The School could not run without its volunteers.  It would not be nearly as much fun without its volunteers. You will get to know lots more people if you volunteer.  It makes our kids proud to see us volunteer.
