May Day 2009
May 13th, 2009
After two postponements, the sun finally shone on Wednesday, May 6th for our forty-second annual May Day. Under the direction of Ms. Mazza, the day was a great success and many new dances were added like Fourth Grade Irish Dancing routine taught by Mrs. Thorell. The traditional Morris, Garland, Ribbon and Maypole dances were also performed. Once again, the Eighth Grade boys did a great job with the sword dance. All the girls looked pretty in their dresses and the boys handsome in their May Day outfits. After the celebration, many families headed over to the West Lawn for a picnic.
