Good Deeds- Turning Points For Children, Adopt A Family Program
January 5th, 2010
This holiday three St. Peter’s families joined forces to support a young mother of six children. The mother requested gifts that would allow her to provide educational toys and games and clothing for her family. The Miller, Rorke and Browne families donated gift cards from Target, Barnes and Noble, and Old Navy for the five older children. Loughlin Browne picked out a doll specifically requested by the family’s youngest, a two-year old girl. The doll was sweet and so was the encounter with the social worker from Turning Points who was working around the clock to secure gifts for all the families on her list.
It was an easy way to help someone in need, and a great way to celebrate the holiday spirit!
