Good Deed- Sorting Food at Philabundance
November 4th, 2009
On Tuesday, November 3rd a group of St. Peter’s faculty helped pack and sort bread at the Philabundance warehouse. About 12,000 pounds were organized that night! Fun and laughs were had by all as the group worked hard alongside other friendly volunteers. Philabundance is the region’s largest hunger relief organization. Their mission is to end hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley by acquiring food and distributing it through organizations serving people in need. Philabundance has been around since 1984, and has provided food for over 60 million meals! Thank you to Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Bahnck, Ms. Kulick, Mrs. and Mr. Hadden, Mrs. Moore, Mr. VanNesse, Mr. Lucek, and Mrs. Seltzer for their time helping their community.
