Good Deed: Pennies for Patients
March 30th, 2009
The “Pennies for Patients” campaign ended on Friday, March 27, and thanks to the generosity of the St. Peter’s School students and parents, we collected $142 in the big plastic jug in the parlor. The money will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and their mission to support research to cure blood cancer and provide services for patients in the Philadelphia area. Marcy Leader, Development Director, and Dorie Clayman, Development Associate, led this drive, which began with a representative from the LLS speaking to the School at School Service March 4. We hope that this Good Deed will help to increase awareness of blood cancers and encourage everyone to support this great organization.
