Good Deed – Miss Lewin’s Kindergarten Class Paints for “Chair-ity”
January 7th, 2010
Auction to Miss Lewin’s Kindergarten class painted a beautiful child-size chair to donate to a “Chair-ity” benefit Ronald McDonald Camp, a one-week overnight camp for children who have or had pediatric cancer and their siblings. The auction will take place in February at the Union League of Philadelphia. The children rolled up their sleeves and painted the chair as a rainbow. Then they colored hearts, cut out them out, and decoupaged them on their rainbow chair. The children are hoping that their beautiful chair will help raise money for a wonderful camp that welcomes its campers free of charge. To celebrate the fun of summer camp amidst the dreariest of winter days, Miss Lewin’s class read The Berenstain Bears Go To Camp and cooked up s’mores in the school kitchen. Happy camping!
