Good Deed: Flowers For The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
April 1st, 2009
Real flowers are not allowed in the neonatal intensive care unit at Pennsylvania Hospital. Mrs. Mack chose the children in kindergarten and First Grade to create brightly colored tissue paper flowers attached to pipe cleaners for stems. The children enjoyed making the beautiful paper flowers that will be placed in the intensive care unit. Everyone felt good knowing that their flowers will brighten the days of the mommies, daddies, and tiny babies. A special thank you to Mrs. Burns, mother of Turner (PK), Sully (Third Grade), and Owen (Sixth Grade) for initiating the idea and for contributing a lovely glass vase to hold the flowers.
