Good Deed: Eighth Grade Reaches Out to Twain Museum
April 27th, 2009
The Eighth Grade students went on an all-day trip on April 21st to Hartford, CT to see Mr. Samuel Clemens’ (Mark Twain’s) home and made a special donation. The students, parents, and teachers who traveled to New England enjoyed learning about Twain’s life and times through exhibits in his former house and the accompanying museum (see more at http://www.marktwainhouse.org/). The tour guides were amazed by the depth and breadth of knowledge from our students. They were also very happy to receive a donation from the whole class to support the museum and its programs. Special thanks to Ms. Kreider for organizing the trip and thanks to Mr. Lucek and the parent chaperones who helped things go smoothly.
