Selection Criteria For Fifth-Grade Long-Term Sub

1. Should have a minimum of three years teaching experience.

2. Should be a generalist, able to teach math, English, science, history.

3. Personal qualities:

· Patient

· Tactful

· Well Organized

· Good Listener

· Flexible

· Good sense of humor

· Team player

· Supportive of students and parents as appropriate

· Able to nurture and encourage independence appropriately

4. Must be a good writer, public speaker and possess editing skills

5. K-6 certification desirable but will accept experience instead

6. Computer proficient

Timeline

Interviews conducted as qualified candidates are identified. Offered to be made as soon as qualified candidate identified but no later than the end of January.
