Eighth Grade Play: A Midsummer’s Night Dream
March 23rd, 2010
The Eighth Grade students, supported by the Seventh Grade technical crew, performed a marvelous version of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” this month. The Shakespearean play was adapted for the St. Peter’s School Alumni Theater by Ms. Kreider, Upper School English Teacher. Ms. Kreider also directed the Eighth Grade players as they prepared for this annual mid-March tradition. Through this educational vehicle, the students learn many important lessons that cannot be learned in the traditional classroom. Special thanks go to Ms. Mazza for coordinating the music for the play and to Mr. Lucek for his technical assistance with the lighting. Ms. Kreider’s daughter, Aja, created a magical set in which our thespians got into their comedic roles. We look forward to next year’s play, based on a work of Jane Austen.
