An array of classes led by expert faculty comprises our thriving arts program, which is integral to every student’s SPS education. Students explore studio art techniques, learn to play instruments, and perform in school productions. Signature experiences allow Early Childhood, Lower School, and Upper School students to collaborate and share their creative endeavors with the greater SPS community.
Recording Studio: Opened in the Spring of 2016, our fully functioning, professional grade Recording Studio contains two high quality, condenser microphones perfect for recording vocals and acoustic instruments. An iMac in the Control Room runs Pro Tools, along with an M-Audio Keystation 88 MIDI keyboard.
Students in the Recording Studio Club learn how to run their own recording sessions and work on recording projects. The School is ever grateful to Bob Green P ’15 ’19 for funding our Recording Studio and to Jamie Lokoff P ’17 ’22 and the crew at MilkBoy the Studio for setting up the state-of-the-art space.
Kiln Room: SPS students have access to two kilns that are used to fire both handbuilt ceramics and pieces made on our pottery wheels.
