It is our pleasure to announce that St. Peter’s School now owns our building. This afternoon, representatives from St. Peter’s Church and St. Peter’s School met in the Headmaster’s office to sign the necessary paperwork.
This is a historical day in the life of our School and we are so excited for the future now that we have our flag firmly planted at 319 Lombard Street. Many thanks go to our trustees for all of their time and energy spent on this project. A very special thanks goes to David Blum, who has been instrumental in moving this complex sale forward. As a community, we truly have so much to be thankful for this season.

Sixth Grader, Jiasheng Shi, worked with our songwriting and recording club to record his impressive declamation of a radio address by FDR. Declamation is a cherished part of the SPS curriculum, where students in First through Eighth Grades memorize and recite a poem for their peers and compete for the honor of being the Most Mentioned Declaimer. Great Job Jiasheng!

The St. Peter’s Cross Country team traveled to Fairmount Park to take on runners from Friends Select, Friends School Haverford and Phil-Mont Christian. The warm weather did not hinder the team who earned 7 of the top 14 and 11 of the top 20 places. Our top three runners, 6th graders Silas Grasse and Harry Murphy and 5th grader Jack Sullivan, set the pace and worked hard only to be outlasted in the second half of the race. The team rallied around each runner and supported all runners en route to the first every team cross country invitational meet. The team is looking ahead to Saturday and their final race at Belmont Plateau before the team joins community members in the Alex’s Lemonade Lemon Run in November.
