May 5th, 2017

On Wednesday, May 17th at 6:30 PM all Upper School students will present the findings of their yearlong Independent Study Projects (ISP) in a fair-style event for the St. Peter’s School community. Since September, Fifth through Eighth Graders have spent two periods each week in addition to time outside school investigating selected topics, ranging from training bonsai trees to learning Turkish to designing jewelry from recycled materials. Thank you to their families, faculty mentors, and community experts for providing guidance and sharing expertise regarding their wide-ranging topics.

The festival originated in the northern hemisphere and serves to honor the arrival of spring. Students perform traditional garland, ribbon, sword, and maypole dances, along with more contemporary song and dance numbers. This historic event, which is followed by a family picnic on Wiggins Field, is one of the School’s longest-standing traditions.

New Date: Eighth Grade Play

March 15th, 2017

When a man is accused of abducting half a dozen cats, it’s a simple open-and-shut case, even for a jury that’s filled with oddballs like a dim-witted PR “maven,” a bickering couple, and a man obsessed with french fries. Although every scrap of evidence indicts the accused, Juror #8–a wannabe lawyer–believes that the “Cat Burglar” is innocent. Will he be able to sway the other jury members? Or will they side with Juror #3–the only sane one in the bunch–in this hilarious parody of 12 Angry Men.
Our Eighth Graders will be performing this hilarious play on Thursday, March 30th at 6:30 PM.
