Good Deed - Raphael Englander Collects Food for Philadelphia Mitzvah Food Project

During the month of September 2009, Raphael Englander, Prekindergarten student, and his little sister Margot, playschool student at Society Hill Synagogue, together collected canned fruit to create a food basket to decorate the sanctuary at the synagogue to celebrate the new year. The children were pleased to participate in this Rosh Hashanah effort organized by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Mitzvah Food Project to help feed vulnerable local families.
