Good Deed- Helping Eastern State Penitentiary
As part of an annual pilgrimage, our Eighth Grade students and their History teacher, Mr. Adame, traveled to Eastern State Penitentiary. This marvel of architecture once housed the likes of Alfonse “Scarface” Capone and Pep the cat murdering dog. The building functioned from 1829-1971 and is now a museum. Renovating the buildings is an expensive task. Our Eighth Grade decided to make a healthy donation to the museum to help them continue their education program.
