Good Deed - Englander Family Visits the Red Cross

On the day after Thanksgiving in November 2009, Prekindergarten student Raphael Englander accompanied his father Brian to donate platelets at the 7th & Spring Garden Streets location of the American Red Cross. Platelets help blood clot. The donation took two hours, during which time Raphael’s daddy was able to watch a movie. Raphael, his little sister Margot, and his mommy spent the time reading a book about the circulatory system, hanging out, and occasionally waving to daddy. Raphael felt very proud of his daddy!
