Good Deed - A Citizen of the World

Since 2008 Leo Kivell has made micro-loans to ten people through Kiva.org.  Leo augmented an initial $25 gift with his own pocket money to lend more than $250 to global entrepreneurs. His beneficiaries include poultry farmers in Azerbaijan, a general store in Rwanda, and other small businesses in Peru, Ukraine,  and the Philippines.

Pictured: Leo helped fund a $900 loan to Uktam Ashurov of Tajikistan, a wooden-plowmaker, to purchase two cows and improve the winter conditions for his cattle.  The loan was repaid in full.
